my golden ticket

So lately I've been complaining about my job and how tired I am and how unhappy I am...

But mostly about my job. I feel like when I'm complaining about my job it comes off like I'm "holier than thou" because I have a job and I help out with the income. I don't want anyone to feel that way.  I hope I haven't offended anyone.

Here are my reasons behind working:

1. We are in debt up to our eye balls - okay not that bad but it feels like it sometimes. Yep I just aired some of our dirty laundry out on the World Wide Web. Whoops. But seriously... Let's be honest.. who isn't in debt.. even a little? Mortgages, Cars, Credit Cards, Student loans, Personal Loans.. whatever it is.. there's debt.  And we currently are trying to pay off our stupid mistakes. IE Store Credit Cards and 2 car loans at once.

2. As we are trying to pay down debt as much as possible for me to NOT work and be a real full time SAHM, I like to have yummy groceries and be able to pay for the essentials and some perks. Like a shirt here and there... or going on a date. I don't need to work as MUCH as I am but I can't really work less than 30 hours right now I don't have a choice (unless I get a new job).  And before the change at work, I had the choice to work less than 30 hours and I did so.. So it was like I wasn't working and we got behind and into more debt.

3. I, for the most part, like working. Trust me most of the time it sucks and I just want to be home with my boys and be lazy at night with them. But other times, I'm grateful for a little "me" time even if its typing for  6 (or more) hours straight. Its me time and I'll take it.. most of the time I get to listen to a great book or talk or music.  And when I don't have to work anymore, I'm going to have to take a little me time shut away in my room.. or after bed time.

I'm grateful for  my job even when I'm constantly complaining. I'm grateful for the time I have now to work as much as possible to pay off debt as fast as possible so that in a year I don't have to work.

In Pres Uchtdorf's talk he spoke of the Golden Ticket of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory:

“In their anxiousness, people began to forget the simple joy they used to find in a candy bar. The candy bar itself becomes an utter disappointment if it does not contain a golden ticket,” President Uchtdorf said. Whatever a “golden ticket” may represent to each person, President Uchtdorf warned Relief Society sisters to not put their happiness on hold as they wait for a future event, or golden ticket, to appear.
“The lesson here,” he said,” is that if we spend our days waiting for fabulous roses, we could miss the beauty and wonder of the tiny forget-me-nots that are all around us.”
My Golden Ticket has been to be a full time SAHM and to not have to work and be financially okay. But I'm determined to make that a GOAL instead and to be Happy now. A year.. or two whatever it takes I'm okay with working for now... knowing that I won't be working my whole life. I can be happy now without my "Golden Ticket"..

before baby #3 is even tried for...

I plan on losing weight. Lots of weight. To be at a healthy weight so that I am not "at risk" for anything bad during a pregnancy.

yes i am thinking about baby #3.

its about that time to start thinking about him/her. Creighton will be 16 months on Sunday. Crazy! And I like the age span between Cayden and Creighton.

Just did the math... ha! So 4 months after Creighton turns 18 months old I should get preggers. But.... I want an August baby. And if I get preggers in April of 2012 then he/she would come in January of 2013. And 6 months is not enough to get to a healthier weight. I mean I probably could get close.. But we'll see how it goes :)

Am i crazy to be thinking about baby #3?  I just know I want one more baby and am excited to experience my last baby's birth.  And maybe if I get to a good weight - I can have a VBAC. That'd be nice. because I want to experience that. (with drugs)

and that was super random. it just has consumed my mind for a while now.

it's one of those days

One of those days...

... that makes you think how lucky you are and to not take advantage of the time you have now because you never know.. you just never know.

.... that makes you grateful for the knowledge of the Gospel and how we will see those who die in this life again. And those who die young (too young) will have a chance.  I have to believe that they will.  Our Heavenly Father who loves us would never not let them have a chance at having a wife.. kids.. and all those eternal blessings!

... that even though I want should to do clean the house and do the dishes and rearrange things... I don't want to..

... that even though i want to just sit and wallow in sadness.. I feel like it would be disrespectful in a way..

So I won't wallow in sadness.. I will give my boys and hubby an extra squeeze of love today (and every day..)

today just sucked

Ever have those days where you just don't want to do anything.. but feel obligated.  Like how I've left my co-teacher alone on her days of teaching for the last 2 times? Yeah.. So I felt obligated to be at church today.  don't get me wrong. I love going to Church except when the boys are amazingly annoying.. :) Like this morning. Wasn't feeling it.  But I suffered through going the motions of getting the boys bathed and dressed and fed. Blah blah blah...

Went to church. Cayden has this annoying thing he does where he'll ask the same question over and over and over and get more and more and more loud and mad at me when I say no no no no.  UGH!  And then Creighton is just plain ol' annoying. Then I try to take Creighton out cause he's cranky and Cayden precedes to say kind of loud : "NO MOM I WANT TO STAYYYYYYYYY!"  yay me.  And then Creighton won't leave my side.  He didn't even want to walk around. I held him. For a good 20 minutes straight. My arm was dead.

Moving to after Sacrament.  Tried to take Creighton to Nursery (after successfully dropping of Cayden) and he WOULD.NOT.LET.ME.GO.  He screamed bloody murder! Seriously. I gave him his sippie.  Nope. Screamed while drinking. Let him down to play with trains. See Creighton trains are so fun. Oh Look- a big truck Yay so much fun.  nope.nothing.nada. just screams.

So I take him out. Try primary to sit with my class.  Screams again. Its like he's afraid of classrooms. He finally calmed down and walked around and looked at one of his favorite books. but class time comes around it was kinda touchy.  He was okay for a minute and then wasn't for a minute.  He's attached to me like glue.

Oh and the lesson I've been working on for next week- my co teacher taught this week.. this is why we have a schedule. her lesson was supposed to be about Loving one another. Why oh WHY?  So do I teach the same lesson? Or the lesson she skipped? I'm a little bugged... She had the schedule right there... I'm confused. UGH!

But after I've been super rude to my sweet husband and cried for about an hour... I think I'm fine. I am still unwilling.

Creighton seems super tired.

So what should I do? Should I go to Sacrament - only for the Sacrament, go home let him have a nap and then come back? So he'll stay in Nursery and be happy???? Ugh.. help me!

Where were you?

Where was I?

Freshman year of high school. We were sitting in band when Mr. McGrath told us that we needed to listen to the radio news.  I remember hearing that there was a terrorist attack in New York.  I had no idea what that really meant - to be honest.  I was shocked that there was an attack in the USA. I just remember being in shock.  Then in the rest of my classes we watched the TV all day.  Seeing the pictures, I just broke down.  I remember going home and just sitting there.  Confused, scared, hurt. Why would they do this to the United States?  I just didn't get it.

I remember the patriotic feelings everyone felt for a few years after.  But it seems like its all gone.

I am proud to be an American. How about you? What do you remember about that day 10 years ago?

this is patriotic!! Love this song!

FREAK OUT

I had a blog all written about people who are overly dramatic and how much it BUGS ME! But... I just had a thought "if I can't say anything nice - I shouldn't say anything at all"

See mom- it did stick :)

I'm trying to be a better person and that blog would have been a HUGE setback and a little backtracking..

But I have some "nice" freak outs:

1. I NO LONGER WORK 9 PM to 3 AM!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!! I am so relieved I can't even explain the giddiness I feel everytime I think about that.  Granted working til 1:30 am is not ideal either but STILL! yay!! I'll take t!!

2. Changes are a-happenin'!!!! Soon very soon.. I'll let you all in :) those who know- shush ;)

3. Its my Friday.  I get so happy when its my nights off... i don't have to shower (but I do -sometimes).. I don't have to get ready for work... I don't have to work for 2 nights.. I get to STAY HOME! :):) My boys (all 3 of 'em) love it!! Cayden is cute cause he says something like "mom you no go to work tonight? that makes me happy" - and that melts my heart :)

4.  This isn't so nice... but my boys are VERY crazy today... and I'm excited that its lunch then nap time!!!! WOOT WOOT!!

oh.. thats what clean carpet and tile look like...

Jeremy came and cleaned our carpet and tile.

I won a free carpet cleaning! and I was so excited!!

Jeremy was very professional, kid-friendly and all around nice guy.  He was very informative as well! Learned a lot and got great tips on the darn kitties pee! :)

On to the pictures...

I wish I had taken before pictures of the carpet and tile! Dang it!

Now these pictures were taken with the webcam that is in our laptop so they are very poor quality.  But the carpet/tile cleaning was very high quality!
No worries future pictures and videos will be better - my phone is fixed and ready for pick up! :):)
There's some grout missing.. but look how awesome it looks

the grout was like almost black or at least brown - yuck!
Previous owners seemed to not care about the house! boo!! But the mess in the grout came out better than we expected!!
Love the lines his machine made

play room - the "before" picture would have grossed you out
The Kitchen, Family room and Playroom were my main concerns.  They all look SOOO pretty! I don't want the boys to walk on the carpet - I want the lines to stay :)  The carpet is SO soft now.  remember when carpet cleaning kind of made the carpet sticky?? (or was that just our old apartments' carpet cleaners?)  I love it.  And the smell used to be harsh? This smell - makes me smile! haha.. maybe because its a CLEAN smell? and not a CAT PEE SMELL! We had some problems in the play room and i have to say - it smells 100x times!

Salt Lake Valley peeps- Jeremy does free consultation!! and if you know people who live in the Salt Lake Valley and need some carpet cleaning.. send 'em over!

"Your consultation is completely free, and there is absolutely no obligation to use our services.  I will come to your home and give you my honest, professional recommendation on what is best for meeting the cleaning needs of your family, as well as answer any questions you may have.  I will give you an upfront price quote, so you know exactly what you will pay should you choose to use our services.  The Home Pro Spotter is yours to keep whether you decide to hire us or not."

the Home Pro Spotter- I'm super excited to use.. Granted I don't want my kids to spill anything on my nice clean carpet - BUT now.. I have a quick solution when they do! :):)

Thanks again to TaterTots and Jello  AND J.P. Carpet and Tile Care!!!!
