tuesday thrills

wow. Today totally went in a different direction than I thought it would.  I worked 8 hours last night.. it was almost a 10 hr night but to be honest - I was okay with working. More money on the check.. And I'm sick with this horrible cough that isn't responding to the 'cough suppressant medicine' I'm chugging down.. so I'm coughing like every 5 minutes and I hardly slept the night before.. so I knew working 8 (or even the 10) was a blessing in disguise because really.. I wasn't going to sleep well anyway so might as well make some money ;)

Back to today.. so i got home about 4:30, coughing all along.. to hear "Creighton threw up a little.. so i gave him a bottle and he went back to sleep.." I'm thinking "ok.. freak accident.. too much dinner.. whatever.. I head down to the recliner (I remembered last year when I had a horrible cough like this that I could sleep in the recliner without having coughing fits) and around 5 am I hear Creighton crying.. thinking nothing of it that he will just cry himself asleep.. Nope.. 15 min later he's crying again.  go check on him and he's laying in a pool of LOTS of nasty nasty puke.. mostly milk - gag! (sorry..) so we clean him and his bed stuff up trying not to throw up ourselves.. we both have horrible gag reflexes.. so bad! yuck.  So i head downstairs to watch Tangled with brother and thirty minutes later he starts freaking out... He was so scared to puke again - such a sad thing to have to watch. He dry heaves a little over the next hour or so.. Adam figures out that our milk went bad a little early.. YUCKERS! so he go buys more and some 7up. (and breakfast for us)

by this time its almost 7. I don't want to complain and i'm really not.. just stating a fact. I had been awake for 23 hours straight.. and to be honest - was NOT tired one bit.. ok ok.. maybe a little tired.. And my sweet husband asks if i would like to go sleep.. Umm yes! haha

Cayden had his 4 year check up at 10.  he's very healthy (except the whole pneumonia thing) which apparently is walking... just "slight" or developing.. but we caught it in time with the antibiotics.. But his vision is awesome.. everything is perfect.. :) he's 44 inches tall and 44.5 lbs.

while Adam was there with him, I got to sleep.  The new milk has stayed down in Creighton's belly and we both had a 3 hr nap- so delightful.

And now Adam is now at his massage/adjustment.. (mine's on thursday)

all seems to be back to normal.. creighton's playing like normal. I feel normal (except the cough). Cayden's being his normal self. (crazy)

merry manifest on monday

I've been told that I complain too much by several people... SEVERAL. So clearly I complain too much. 

welp.. I'm going to change it up.  I'm not complaining for a WHOLE week.. and especially on my blog. (but I'm going to try real hard in life too.)

1. Its FALL! and since we live a house this time.. we have our OWN trees.  and they are ALL OVER which is awesome! Adam was raking them up and Creighton loved every second of it.

2. Halloween is in a WEEK! We got Cayden's costume figured out. Pictures will be posted.. I hope I get the night off :)  But in other Halloween related stuff, we painted pumpkins.. I just realized we left out Creighton - sorry buddy :) some of the paint was glow in the dark - hoping it works :)

We drew a face for cayden to paint - and his name is on the back of it.. Mine is an owl with glow in the dark eyes.. I'm not sure what Adam's is.. he kept saying "why so serious....?" (ya know from Batman....)

3. I love our insurance.  I need surgery on my foot. Can you see the bump? It hurts. Ah complaining? no.. truth. aha it's a fact that the bump makes walking hurt. haha. :) right? But our insurance is covering it (except a deductible) I didn't think they would. But yay! Now... I just need to figure out when i want to be on crutches for three weeks.. (can I complain then? haha)

Yikes right? There isn't supposed to be a bump and its supposed to be a complete arch.. haha

4. I'm VERY grateful for mommy instincts. when cayden came to us at 4 am, I didn't really think he was having a problem breathing - maybe due to my sleepyheadiness..(word? don't think so.) - I thought he was just scared from a nightmare. But then at 8 am when we woke up and he was still breathing like crazy. I called and then we instantly went to an instacare when his doc didn't have any openings. And then after having his first breathing treatment and 6 hours later when his breathing went back to the fast, rapid breathing I knew we needed to go back. 

His second treatment.. he's a pro.. haha

5. So happy to have the hubby I have... I chose wisely the first time and almost 5 years later I'm still SUPER happy.  Even when I get annoyed at his little things he does - I still love him. Its what makes him - HIM. :) He's the best and he knows exactly how to make me happy and to change my mood around - most of time. ;)

going private??

I've been wanting to go private for  a while.. and i know its hard to get to private blogs.. but I hope to make another blog that I'll update when I post.. if I ever do again.

Oh and I "deactivated" my Facebook. I'm just done with it all.. I'm sick of the WASTE OF TIME it is and I'm ready to move on and become a person and mommy I've always wanted to be.. not that Facebook would ultimately keep me from that but its hindering it. So I'll post more. So I may or may not be going private.. what a decision!

So...  I have done a file folder game from a file folder book I got at the library by Finch Family Games.

My lesson is on reverence. and I thought this would be a cute game for the kids to do.  So I colored it and then scanned it so I could share to those who might not want to color because it took me over an hour.. haha

 * Cayden has been cleared of his speech disability.  They decided to retest him because they thought he was talking so well.  And he tested well above an average 4 yr old. Which is awesome! He is just so smart. :) I'm one proud mama! He just needed some help with his articulation.

The only bad thing is that he is no longer eligible for preschool through the district. LAME sauce! He THRIVES in Preschool. He loves it so much! So we're on the hunt for another preschool that isn't pricey.

 *Creighton is just getting more and more adorable. He loves to walk everywhere. He ADORES his big brother even when said big bro pushes him down.  He is definitely my more calm child. Creighton loves attention and will close the lap top on my hands to get it. he's just a doll!

The other day at Target we were in the Halloween section.  We're mean parents. :) but it was so cute. and he didn't cry.

So my awesome sister in law cuts my hair and she's awesome.

But this time I wanted a change. I haven't dyed my hair in over FOUR LONG YEARS! Can you believe that?? I was preggers with Cayden (about 2 months along) when I decided I was sick of keeping up the maintenance. 

Not anymore. I needed a change.

And I'm wearing foundation for the first time in a probably 2-3 years.  I hate how it used to look on my skin with zits and such. but this time it looked awesome. I can't believe that I've been going all natural with nothing at all on my face. I'll probably will stay that way unless its a nice occasion. :)

But I LOVE my hair! Its so fun! and I can still put it in a pony tail which is important.
